"Takayama is an amazing place and this hotel is not that far away from the old town, just turn right and go straight up and pretty much takes you to the Red bridge. The new wing is quite nice, old wing has two onions. First floor is nice, basement one is a bit small and bit dank. Overnight parking is 1000 yen which is quite small considering in the old town it's 200 to 300 yen for 30 minutes. One could easily spend two days. The weather for us was quite warm at the end of September / beginning October."

"Great location to explore the city. It’s located next to train and bus stations so easy in and out of the city without having to carry luggage. Hotel is lovely, very modern. Rooms are spacious, ours even had a washing machine free to use (which was very much used). The hotel has a big onsen facility for guests free of charge (which we also took advantage of). The main old town area is just 10 minutes walk and all through all the main avenues with shops and restaurants "
